APLA Partners Up With APES to Raise Money for a Very Worthy Cause

The 1st Annual Austin Oilman’s Sporting Clay Shoot , benefiting Operation FINALLY HOME, was held at Capital City Trap and Skeet on Friday, October 28, 2011.

Operation FINALLY HOME was created by the Bay Area Builders Association in 2005 to support our troops by providing mortgage-free homes to wounded and disabled veterans as well as the widows of fallen soldiers. The operation’s goal is to get these selfless people’s lives back and help them to become productive members of their communities.

The Austin Professional Landmen Association teamed up with the Austin Petroleum Exploration Society to raise $26, 085 for Operation FINALLY HOME. Nearly 100 shooters came out to support this charity as well as have a little fun on a Friday morning. We want to thank each of our sponsors for their contributions, as well as all of the participants. We are honored to get the opportunity to help our troops get from the battlefront back to the home-front as smoothly as possible.
