Meet the Team
Mark Harris – Vice President, Asia Pacific
Mark is a petroleum geologist with more than 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He has over 15 years of experience managing South East Asia regional operations. He holds a B.Sc. in Geology and an M.Sc. in Petroleum Geology from Royal School of Mines, Imperial College London. Mark is very active in the industry in South East Asia. He is currently secretary of SEAPEX, editor of the SEAPEX Press and a member of the AAPG, PESGB, PESA and IPA. Mark is based in our Singapore office.
Shankar Krishnan – Regional Manager, South East Asia
Shankar has actively covered exploration and production activity in the South East Asian region for the past 8 years. He graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He also earned a M.Sc. in Information Studies from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU). He is a member of AAPG, IPA and SEAPEX.
Chester Chua – Regional Manager, Australasia
Chester worked in various international data positions for seven years before joining Drillinginfo. He focused on all countries in South East and North East Asia. He is a member of the South East Asia Petroleum Exploration Society (Seapex). He holds a B.Sc. in Geography/Economics from the National University of Singapore (NUS). Chester is based in our Singapore office.
Andrew Hayman – Director, Africa
Andrew has over 25 years experience in the upstream oil industry. He worked in seismic operations and logistics, marketing and business development for over 10 years. He helped establish West Africa as a major activity focus. He also helped organize offshore bid rounds for the National Oil Companies of Cameroon and Gabon. During the bid rounds, he arranged roadshows, brought trainees to the UK and worked on technology transfer. He later managed the EMEA cartography and database unit. He also spent several years directing data collection and publication efforts in Africa. He holds a B Sc in geology and chemistry, an M Sc in geochemistry (University of Leeds) and an M Sc in stratigraphy (University of London, Birkbeck College).
Ian Blakeley – Director, Middle East, North Africa & South Asia
Ian has more than 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He started his career working as a Data Engineer and Wellsite Geologist for EXLOG, now Baker Hughes INTEQ. He also spent 12 years managing and directing intelligence gathering efforts in the South Asia region. He graduated from the University of Keele in the UK with a B.Sc. Joint Honours Degree in Geology/Geography. Ian is a member of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain (PESGB) and the South East Asia Petroleum Exploration Society (SEAPEX). He is based in our UK office.
Scott Stewart – Regional Manager, Southern Latin America
Scott has over 27 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He worked at Chevron and subsequently spent 11 years managing and directing intelligence collection efforts in the Latin America region. Scott has a BS degree in Geology from the University of Tennessee and is the Vice President of the Houston Chapter of the Argentine Institute of Petroleum and Gas. He is also a well respected member of the Houston Geological Society (HGS) and American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG). Scott is based in our Houston office.
Pablo Goldberg – Regional Manager, Latin America
Before joining Drillinginfo, Pablo spent more than 20 years in various industry and government positions in Argentina. He worked mainly in GIS and E&P Data Management. He also worked for the Santa Cruz Province DOE, where he acquired a wide knowledge of the industry’s local and federal regulations. He also participated in several environmental and hydrogeology assessments in Patagonia. He holds a BS in Geology from the National University of La Plata (UNLP).
Anne Leonard – Director, Global Products
Anne Leonard is a director on Drillinginfo’s international team, tasked with helping expand the company’s global product line. She has been reporting on exploration and production for more than 30 years, the last two of which she authored Drillinginfo’s Northern Latin America Scout. Anne’s career began in in Denver where she covered the Rocky Mountain Region before moving to Houston to manage the Southern U.S. editorial team. In this position, she focused on the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. For the past 12 years she has been covering the international arena, with a particular focus on Latin America, Africa, Western Europe and the Far East. She has written dozens of in-depth features on up and coming global explorers. These articles are often included in the profiled companies’ promotional materials. Anne has a BA in journalism from the University of Nebraska. She is based in our Houston office.
Mark Elliston – Economist
Mark is an economist with more than 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry as a geologist, stock broker analyst, lecturer and consultant. He trained as a geologist, but has worked in the upstream financial and commercial sector for the last 20 years. He specializes in cash flow analysis, fiscal and contractual design and upstream transaction analysis, with a particular interest in Asia and Australasia. He is a member of PESGB, PESA, AIPN and SPE. He is also editor of our International Commercial Scout, a weekly overview of global events in above ground risk that impact E&P operations. Mark is based in our UK office.
Tom Darin Liskey – Regional Manager, Central America
Tom Darin has over 20 years of experience writing about the global oil and gas industry, particularly in Latin America where he worked as a correspondent for the newswires and various media outlets. Specifically, he resided in Venezuela, Argentina and Brazil for extended periods of time where he wrote extensively on resource nationalism, oil apertures and macro-economics. For the past decade he has written in-depth reports on virtually every nation in North and South America regarding energy development, politics and policies. Tom Darin has a degree in English from the University of Southern Mississippi and speaks Spanish and Portuguese. He is based in our Houston office.
Bruce Walker – Regional Manager, North West Europe
Bruce previously covered North & West Africa in 2012 to early 2014, before moving across to establish our NW Europe coverage. Prior to joining Drillinginfo, he was a geoscientist in the oil and gas, mining and environmental sectors, and has extensive industry experience working in locations such as Trinidad & Tobago, Mongolia, Sierra Leone, Australia and Uganda. He holds a B.A. in Geology from Trinity College Dublin and M.Sc. in Land Management from Cranfield University. Bruce is based in our UK office.
