Security Policy
With the addition of new features to the DrillingInfo website that allow each individual member to add and house their own proprietary information on DrillingInfo, security of the individual users’ data is our utmost concern. In order for DrillingInfo management to provide a secure environment for our clients and to ensure continued compliance with our Subscription Agreement, the following Member Security Policies have been implemented: Purpose:DrillingInfo is committed to maintaining a high level of security of individual user information (personal account information, VirtualSCOUT™ entries, Saved Searches, Economic Evaluations, Well Tags, etc). These security policies are essential to provide ample protection of each member’s data, work projects, and processes created and housed on DrillingInfo’s servers. DrillingInfo reserves the right to suspend or terminate, at will, any member’s account if DrillingInfo has reason to believe that the members Login and Password has been shared and/or otherwise compromised. Policy:ll registered members may use only their assigned individual Login names and Password to access the DrillingInfo membership only areas of the web site. Security questions are an integral part of protecting our members’ proprietary data, and they must be completed by the user and will be presented for security verification on a random basis. Different security questions will be asked to a specific user in successive intervals. The security questions must be answered correctly before access is approved. If DrillingInfo has any reason to believe that a Member’s Password has been compromised, then DrillingInfo will require that Member to change his/hers Password and Security Information. If DrillingInfo has reason to believe that there is sharing of a Member’s account, the suspect account will immediately be suspended (all computers logged onto DI under this Members account will immediately lose access). The designated Member on the account will be required to call in to regain access. The Member’s contact information will be confirmed, and he/she will be emailed a new Password. He/She will then be required to re-enter their security questions before DI access is complete and ready for use. If an account is suspended three (3) times, the account can only be re-activated by the addition of another paying Membership. If no other members are available for an additional account, an increase to the original members account charge will be accessed in the amount equivalent to another paying member. Any and all password notifications or confirmations from DrillingInfo will only be distributed to the user via e-mail and only to the e-mail address identified in the registered members account. The account owner on a “Corporate” account may change one or more registered members in an account by contacting DrillingInfo directly and requesting the change. Changes to an account by switching out a registered member with another DI member or non member under a “Corporate” account will require 24 hours to take effect. Switching individual users within a “Corporate” account is allowed at one change per 3 month period per user. |
