Q Engineering + Drillinginfo

Q Engineering and Drillinginfo Direct Connection enables the industry to more easily forecast production and compare completion data

Q Engineering and Drillinginfo

Q Engineering and Drillinginfo have introduced a direct database connection to serve their mutual customer base. This enhancement enables customers to quickly load monthly production data along with completion metrics from Drillinginfo into Q Engineering’s TypeCurve Studio application. Through the partnership, Q Engineering provides direct links to Drillinginfo’s Business Intelligence Cloud SQL connection. This delivers on DI’s commitment to provide the easiest automated delivery of analysis-ready data to the industry.

The Drillinginfo direct data offering is structured specifically for engineers. It combines production data enhanced with industry leading allocation algorithms along with enhanced state completion data that is integrated with Drillinginfo’s industry leading Additive Summary data which takes publicly reported FracFocus data to an analytics grade via proprietary algorithms.

Q was started so that an engineer could zoom into any piece of acreage on a map, and learn whether or not that acreage is profitable, nearly in real time. We are seeking to make oil and gas valuation as streamlined as a process as using Zillow to look at house prices.

James Ruiz

Founder, Q Engineering

At a time when E&P organizations are looking to deliver greater efficiency and reliability, the connectivity between Q Engineering and Drillinginfo will help engineers spend time adding value and no time managing data. By directly connecting Drillinginfo’s database to the TypeCurve Studio application, Engineer’s are now able to harness the fastest and most reliable forecasting capabilities and get to a valuation or type curve in minutes. Long gone are the days of limitations of locally installed software. By harnessing the cloud and tying into Drillinginfo’s data, a user can get to work right away rather than spending time managing various data sources.
